Max Richter was born on the 22nd of Mach 1960 in West Germany, he is British composer who has been an influential voice in the combining of contemporary classical and alternative popular musical styles since the early 2000s. Max Richter graduated from The Royal Academy Of Music and studied with Luciano Berio in Italy.
He is known for recording his own music, writing for stage, opera, ballet, producing and collaborating with others.
Max Richter has recorded eight solo albums and his music is widely used the cinemas.
One of his popular works is titled 'sleep' it lasts eight hours long. Ritchter describes it as an "eight hour long lullaby" The work was strongly influenced by Gustav Mahler's symphonic works. The entire performance was performed on September 27, 2015, from midnight to 8:00 A.M. The performance broke several records, including the longest live broadcast of a single musical composition in the history of the network.
Max Richter said "my listeners should slumber peacefully throughout." He has termed it as "my personal lullaby for a frantic world"
