Performance Rules  Magic space   -everyone is involved, either taking notes or pictures  An empty space is okay  Language -words can be shared, but mostly gestures  What happens in the space, stays in the space ( has to be safe) Wear bed socks (fluffy) -be in costume wear pajamas Don't force anything  If someone is in the space for to long try to remove them  Use thins in previous lessons  

Artaud Artaud's birth name is Antonin - Marie-Joseph Artaud he was born on the 4th of september 1896 in Marseilles. He was the son of a wealthy shipfitter and his mother was from a Greek   background,  When he was five years old he went through a near death experience sue to the attack of meningitis this traumatic event remained with him for the rest of his life. He went to school at the Coll'e du Sacre Coeur in Marsieilles at the age of 14, he stayed there for almost four years. During his teens he began to have head pains and aches which continued throughout his life. In 1914 he became the victim of neurasthenia  (headaches, emotional disturbance)  which was treated by resting at home. In 1915 he was given the drug Opium to help reduce his pain however he became addicted to it within a few months.  In 1916 Artaud was enrolled into the army but release less than a year later due to mental instability and his drug addiction. Theatre Workshop -29/01/18 We began the day by returning to the 'shoal of fish' exercise and working in unison as a team, but this time when we were playing with the pillows we were improvising movements with the idea of sleep and a sleepless night filled with nightmares and uneasiness. During this exercise the song 'How do you sleep' by LCD sound system was playing to help us surrender ourselves and be fully committed to the action we doing. When the music started speeding up the entire company started creating really violent movements together like hitting the floors with our pillows and screaming. I personally found it intriguing how our subconscious and dreams are mainly linked with violence and fear, but i also felt like this exercise showed the vulnerable side of everyone in the class as we allowed our weaknesses to be shown. Max Richter  Max Richter was born on the 22nd of Mach 1960 in West Germany, he is  British composer who has been an influential voice in the combining of contemporary classical and  alternative popular  musical styles since the early 2000s. Max Richter graduated from The Royal Academy Of Music  and studied with  Luciano Berio  in Italy.  He is known for recording his own music, writing for stage, opera, ballet, producing and collaborating with others.  Max Richter has recorded eight solo albums and his music is widely used the cinemas. One of his popular works is titled 'sleep' it lasts eight hours long. Andy Warhol  Andy Warhol was born on the 6th of August 1928 and died in 1987, he  was an American artist, director and producer who was a leading figure in the  visual art movement  known as  pop art . His work explored the relationship between art, celebrity culture and advertising. He used a variety of techniques including  painting,  silk screening , photography, film, and sculpture. Some of his best known works include the silkscreen paintings  Campbell's Soup Cans  in 1962 and  Marilyn Diptych  in 1962, the experimental film  Chelsea Girls  1966, and the  multimedia  events known as the  Exploding Plastic Inevitable  from 1966–1967.  He started off as a commercial illustrator but after displaying his work in several gallery's in the 1950's he began to get recognised  as an influential and controversial artist.   In the late 1960s, he managed and produced the...

Cafe Muller  Cafe Muller was inspired by and  based on her childhood memories of watching her father work at his café in Germany during and immediately following  World War two.  It was choreographed by Pina Bausch set to the music of Henry Purcell and has been performed regularly since is release in May 1985 an d and filmed at the Opernhaus, and broadcast on German television in December of that year.
