Max Richter  Max Richter was born on the 22nd of Mach 1960 in West Germany, he is  British composer who has been an influential voice in the combining of contemporary classical and  alternative popular  musical styles since the early 2000s. Max Richter graduated from The Royal Academy Of Music  and studied with  Luciano Berio  in Italy.  He is known for recording his own music, writing for stage, opera, ballet, producing and collaborating with others.  Max Richter has recorded eight solo albums and his music is widely used the cinemas. One of his popular works is titled 'sleep' it lasts eight hours long. workshop lesson- 16/01/18

Workshop lesson- 16/01/18 As usual to start the day and get ready to play with ideas we went through the Misorgi exercise (cleaned the 9 holes and our performance space). After doing this cleansing i felt so much more refreshed mentally and physically I began to understand that there is so much more meaning to our physical beings and that sometimes we take our body parts for granted, doing Misorgi everyday before we start to perform just makes me more excited and fresh to think creatively. After we got into pairs to start thinking of our site specific piece, and the art we previously found at the Tate Modern, and how those specific pieces can be used to devise a performance that is based on a site. We then moved onto a more practical task where we were split into two groups and using only bodies we were told to create some sort of sculpture where your face and eyes were hidden, so it allows the audience/viewers to try and make eye contact with you but they had to work for it. workshop -8/1/18

8/1/18 This term we will be studying the practitioners: Peter Brook, Artaud and Yoshi Oida  The first exercise we did was the 9 holes exercise exercise created by Yoshi Oida, it is both emotional and spiritual, he use to do this cleansing every morning to clean his body and mind so he is ready for the days practical activities. This exercise is based of the a myth Misorgi: God wanted to be a better person and to find out about himself he believed that by going and adapting to living underwater he would be able to achieve that, This exercise involves using water to cleanse different parts of your body. But before Yoshi Oida cleansed he would get himself and his other actors to clean the space so its ready to be a creative area where people can imagine and act.
